One of the strategic keys to literacy is having books around your home at a young age to look at, be read to, and eventually to read yourself

• In middle income neighborhoods the ratio of books per child is 13 to ONE

• In low income neighborhoods, the ratio is ONE age-related book for every 300 children

So, let's fill those homes with books! The W.ords O.n W.heels Wagon is doing just that:  bringing free books in the neighborhoods!

You can get involved by:

1. Donate Books -- gently used books from PreK through high school
2. Donate Time -- we always need help sorting and stocking
3. Donate your Brain -- we need volunteers to ride with us and help kids pick out their FREE books
